My wife and I have been coming to Rome from Venezuela for the last thirty years and the one restaurant we frequent the most is Il Gabriello. This is the only restaurant that has maintained it’s standards over the years and the service and attention remains spectacular. The wine cellar has a great variety from the different regions of Italy and the prices for the vintage wines are surprisingly reasonable. Whether you want home made pasta dishes, fish, meat or poultry it will all be delicious. Try and save some room for the deserts since the options are incredible. Congratulations to the Conti family (Gabriello, Claudio and Matteo) for keeping this as Rome’s best restaurant.
